According to Article 5 of the Interior Design and Construction Regulation (Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior): the following person/organization may offer interior design and/or construction services:

  1. A legally-registered architect may engage in interior design work,
  2. A legally-registered construction firm may engage in interior construction work, and
  3. An interior design or construction firm may engage in interior design or construction work.

Article 9: A firm engaging in interior design or construction is required to have the following professional technicians on staff:

  1. A firm engaging in interior design: one or more professional design technicians,
  2. A firm engaging in interior construction: one or more professional construction technicians.
  3. A firm engaging in interior design and construction: one or more professional design and construction technicians respectively or one or more professional technicians certified for both interior design and construction practices.

An interior design and/or construction firm shall provide a name bearing words such as “interior design and/or construction”.

In simple terms, a legally-registered interior design firm should have a name bearing the words “interior design” and the firm must have professional staff certified for design and/or construction.

Interior design is a profession requiring special certification: Many establishments soliciting interior design and construction businesses in the market are actually registered for general business category. Legally speaking, they are not legitimate interior design companies governed and managed by the Construction and Planning Administration, Ministry of the Interior.

If you need a quote for minor renovation, renovation of small studio apartment or other renovation work, please call our service executive. Before we give you a quote, we need to go through a few steps: discuss the project on-site, take measurements, draft plans (layout), and confirm construction. A drafting and service charge of NT$ 6,000 will be collected on-site when our service executive meet with you to confirm your final decision and if you decide to contract the work to us, our team will then carry out the necessary work before giving you a preliminary quote on design and construction. We will need approximately two weeks time (workdays).

If I have confirmed the design drawings, but I want to change part of the design after construction begins, will there be an extra charge?

All changes can be discussed and implemented before construction begins. Once construction begins, we will confirm the changes (add or remove items) with our client and give a new price quote.

If you need a quote for renovation or redesign of an old house, please call our service executive. Before we give you a quote, we need to go through a few steps: discuss the project on-site, take measurements, draft plans (layout) and confirm construction. A drafting and service charge of NT$ 6,000 will be collected on-site when our service executive meet with you to confirm your final decision (the charge will apply to the final invoice if you contract us for the design work).

If you already have a contracted supplier to service the equipment in your space (ex: water, electricity, air-conditioning, etc.), please let our service executive know before we start the quoting process. We will make it a priority to obtain quotes for equipment from your supplier.

Your property developer may give you the option of “customization” during construction. It would be a good idea to find a suitable design to plan the spaces for you at this stage. Planning before your house is fully completed will save you the cost of demolishing unwanted walls and partitions and prevent unnecessary wastage.

Payment terms will be discussed at the second meeting and we will provide a copy of the contract. Payment terms will be clearly stated in the contract and payments shall be made according to the contract.

Every Thursday afternoon is open for supplier visits. Please call in advance to set a meeting with our design department.

If a client or our company chooses a building material offered by your company, the design department will notify you to present your products to our client at a set time and location. Please make detailed presentation, including the characteristics, product positioning and price quotes to our client.
